Forest Lawn’s Peer Ambassadors

Building Community and Communication

Forest Lawn's Peer Ambassadors want to improve their school's sense of community

The Peer Ambassadors at Forest Lawn are an interconnected group. They work with other groups in the school, providing volunteer support to help enhance different events. Their goal? Create a stronger sense of community. Peer Ambassadors have coordinated a food drive and meet weekly to plan student events. Following the September Youth Forum, the group decided they also wanted to strengthen communication around the school. They’ve placed orders for mobile screens to display updated school information, and will soon have advertising frames in the school bathrooms to post weekly updates. The ad frames will help students have a better sense of the events already available to them, and give the school a longstanding tool for sharing information with the whole community.
