Profile

Dr. Hanna Duffy (nee Kubas) completed her undergraduate work in psychology at the University of Calgary. She went on to complete her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary. She is also a Registered Psychologist in Alberta. During her graduate training, Dr. Duffy served as the Project Coordinator for a multi-year funded clinical trial examining the impact of medication on cognitive, academic neuropsychological, neuroimaging, and behavioural outcomes in children with ADHD. Prior to joining the Werklund School of Education, Dr. Duffy worked as a psychologist at Rocky View Schools. She also served as the Project Lead of the Attendance Innovation Campaign, implementing a tiered intervention model for chronic absenteeism within the school district.

In her current role as an Instructor in the Werklund School of Education and the Academic Coordinator of the Master of Education in School & Applied Child Psychology program, Dr. Duffy teaches and oversees the administration and delivery of the program. She is a former nationally-ranked competitive swimmer, and proudly represented the University of Calgary Dinos as a varsity athlete. Dr. Duffy lives in Calgary with her husband, baby girl Maya, and big girl pup Winnie.
