UCalgary and the Faculty Association ratify new collective agreement

Agreement runs for four years from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2028

The governors of the University of Calgary and The University of Calgary Faculty Association (TUCFA) have ratified a new four-year collective agreement, with 90 per cent of academic staff members voting in favour of ratification.

The new agreement runs from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2028, and incorporates numerous improvements, including across-the-board salary increases of three per cent in each of its four years, improvements to sessional minimum rates, enhanced benefit provisions, and two new articles covering emeriti procedures and occupational health and safety.

“I would like to thank the members of the negotiating teams for their hard work and commitment to a productive process that resulted in agreement on a new four-year collective agreement,” said Dr. Sandra Davidson, provost and vice-president (academic).

Over the next few months, the university and the Faculty Association will work together to implement the terms of the collective agreement. An electronic copy will be posted on the Labour Relations website once it has been finalized.
