Vanessa Wood appointed interim registrar

I am pleased to announce that Vanessa Wood has been appointed interim registrar, effective Aug. 18, 2025. Vanessa has been a valued member of the University of Calgary since 2006 and has served as deputy registrar since 2017. Her extensive experience and unwavering commitment to student success make her exceptionally well-suited to lead our Registrar’s Office during this transitional period.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Amy Dambrowitz as she steps into her new role as the inaugural executive director of the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), also effective Aug. 18, 2025.

Amy has been an integral part of our team over the past four years, contributing significantly to our university’s progress toward Ahead of Tomorrow. Her leadership and dedication have left a lasting impact, and while we will miss her presence on campus, we are excited to see the national influence she will bring to her new role.
