Field Experience I, EDUC 440: Students will engage in school settings through observation and assistance to explore the organization of learning in the school and the perspective of the learner and the teacher.
About Field Experience I
In Field Experience I, EDUC 440, students are not placed with partner teachers, but instead visit multiple classrooms to find out about life in schools.
- 2 weeks in the Fall, first EDUC term
- Students work in cohorts
- Experience from K -12
- Structured as ethnographic research inquiry into the culture of schools
- Deeply integrated into two courses (EDUC 430 and EDUC 435)
