Dr. McMorris' research focuses on improving the health and well-being of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and cerebral palsy.

Matthew C. Makel is Professor and Research Chair in High Abilities Studies in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary. His research focuses on academic talent development and open science research methods.

  • Evidence of ongoing scholarly contributions to child and youth mental health in education setting
  • Acknowledgement of the Centre affiliation on all publications, presentations, posters and email signature line (Strategic priorities: promote Werklund as centre of excellence, raise awareness, community engagement ..)
  • Commitment to actively contribute to the Centre success via one or more of the following:
    • Internal review of member grants
    • Mentorship for fellow members
    • Service on Centre committees and/or leadership roles
    • Assistance with Centre research, education and community events
  • Reporting on activities when requested
