GPESA holds two types of meetings: Meetings of the exeuctive and member meetings.
Meetings of the Executive
The GPESA exec team meets monthly to discuss issues, relay information, plan for events. We welcome opinions, concerns, issues and general food-for-thought that can be brought up in our meetings. You can reach out to our EDSA reps and/or gpesa@ucalgary.ca with concerns or talking points you would like brought up in our exec meetings.
Member Meetings
In the interest of democratizing GPESA and ensuring your voice is heard, we will be planning public member meetings for 2024. Those public meetings will be listed on our Events Calendar.

GPESA updates from November 2023 to January 2024.
Our GPESA AGM was held Thursday, November 30. A hearty thank you to all those who attended.
Lily Jiaqui Cai, EDSA Representative for Adult Learning, is spearheading a by-laws revision committee to make recommendations regarding GPESA by-laws updates and revisions. The committee will present their findings and recommendations to membership after the review process has concluded and vote on changes at the next AGM.
GPESA has revived its Grad Chat program. Grad Chats are a way for graduate students to connect with and support one another. Grad Chats happen every third Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 on Zoom. Visit the Grad Chat tab for more information.
Planning is underway for Tapestries of Learning 2024. Stay tuned for more information.
Please remember to complete the Graduate Student Interests and Concerns Survey by the end of January. This survey will help us direct our networking and advocacy efforts.
GPESA is also revising its Writing Group. The GPESA Writing Group meets every last Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 on Zoom. Come write with friends and get to know your colleagues. Check out the Writing Group tab for more information.
