GPESA Meetings
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for membership to come together, discuss important matters for the year, review financial reports, and address any other relevant issues.
-
Why should I go to an AGM?
AGMs are a fantastic way to get information and updates about GPESA and our advocacy and planning efforts. They are a chance to newtwork with other graduate students and engage with our organization and build out transparency by asking questions and seeking clarification. Participation in the AGM is very important for all members, and all members are strongly encouraged to attend.
-
When is the AGM?
The AGM is usually held at the beginning of the Fall semester.
-
Who should I contact for more AGM information?
Contact gpesa@ucalgary.ca for more information.
GPESA is committed to hosting one annual general meeting per year. This is our only regularly scheduled member meeting.
-
However, you can request a special meeting of membership.
Additional meetings may be requested by members. Please review bylaws or reach out to your EDSA representative for guidance on how to proceed.
The elected GPESA executive team meets regularly to discuss emerging and ongoing membership concerns.
-
Do you have information you'd like shared in an executive meeting?
Reach out to your EDSA representative or any other members of the executive team to bring concerns to our attention for discussion at these meetings.
