GPESA Elelctions

GPESA election dates vary depending on the latest bylaws requirements, though elections will always take place sometime at the end of the winter semester or beginning of the spring semester.

All members can vote! If you get our emails, you are an eligible voting member.

Reach out to the current GPESA team at gpesa@ucalgary.ca to express your interest and/or contact the executive currently in the role you'd like to apply for. Share your interest and get ideas from them about running.

Typically, the Chief Returning Officer (CRO) will send our a survey requesting information about you and the position you'd like to run for. That's it! The CRO handles the rest. See latest bylaws for details about campaigning, and reach out to CRO with any concerns or questions once you're nominated. 

We always have a difficult time finding CROs. You can expect an email from GPESA around February calling for CRO volunteers, but feel free to reach out to gpesa@ucalgary.ca at ANY time if you're interested in serving as CRO. If there is more than one applicant for CRO, the CRO will be selected following the protocol outlined in our latest bylaws.
