Werklund Loanable Technology
Who Can Borrow?
Any University of Calgary Werklund School of Education student (part-time/full-time/continuing education), Faculty or Staff member with a valid UCID card may borrow equipment. You must be associated with Werklund to borrow the equipment on this page.

- The loan period for equipment is 7 days. To inquire about extended loan periods, please click the link below to submit your email request.
- You are only permitted to borrow one laptop at a time. Requests for additional equipment will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Before borrowing equipment, you must sign a loan agreement that assumes liability for costs associated with repairing or replacing the equipment if it is lost or damaged while it is signed out to you.
To book loanable technology from Werklund, please use the links above (regarding the loanable equipment categories) to submit your request. Be sure to use your @ucalgary.ca email address when making the booking.
Don't forget to bring your UCID when picking up your equipment.
Note: Equipment must be picked up and returned to the Academic Support Office (EDT 330) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Booking the Digital Creation Studio
The Digital Creation Studio space is available for booking by Werklund faculty and students. Please click the booking link to make a reservation. Use your UCalgary email address when booking.
The Digital Creation Studio space can be booked in one-hour time slots. You may book more than one-time slot, depending on booking availability.
Note: The Digital Creation Studio is located at the third floor of Education Tower. It is available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Use of the digital creation studio:
- Recording a podcast using a high-performance microphones with pop filters, as well as the RØDECaster Pro II, to share your perspectives with a wider audience.
- Creating videos or multimedia presentations using a light ring, an HD camera, and a Blue Yeti microphone with a pop filter to showcase and share your creative work.
- When creating and delivering engaging online courses, it is recommended to use loanable equipment and a high-performance microphone to enhance the learning experience for you audience.
