In Memoriam: Rocio Araujo, Cumming School of Medicine

The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) is mourning the loss of Rocio Araujo, who passed away on July 5 at the age of 59.

Born in Peru, Araujo immigrated to Canada and eventually joined the CSM as an animal care technician in March 2005. She is remembered by her colleagues for her dedication to supporting animals involved in science and teaching at the medical school, her positive energy, leadership and attention to detail.

Away from her work, Araujo was an accomplished competitive pickleball player and remembered by friends for her delicious Peruvian recipes.
