Kokum Calls You...

Join us September 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Kokum (Grandmother in Nêhiyaw/Cree) scarf represents the longstanding relationship between Indigenous peoples and Ukrainian people who faced discrimination upon arriving in Turtle Island in 1891. Ukrainians gifted these scarves in gratitude, and today, Kokum scarves represent solidarity against oppression.

Join respected Elders and Knowledge Keepers to learn and enact the 94 Calls to Action issued by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.
