Nursing staffer honoured with University of Waterloo alumni award

Congratulations to Marc Hall, research associate in the Nursing Research Office, who recently received The Faculty of Arts Young Alumni Award from the University of Waterloo. He was presented with the award on Oct. 26 at UWaterloo's Fall 2019 convocation ceremony.

The award recognizes Waterloo alumni who have made outstanding contributions in their professional field, in the community, and in public service within 10 years of graduation. Hall completed his Bachelor of Arts in psychology at the University of Waterloo in 2008.

Hall was awarded for his achievements in academia, volunteer leadership, fighting for LGBTQ+ rights, and sharing messages of inclusion and acceptance through the telling of his story with the documentary Prom Fight: The Marc Hall Story (2002), the made-for-TV movie Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story (2004) and recently with the new musical,The Louder We Get, that will premiere at Theatre Calgary in early 2020.
