First the reader learns about her village’s summer plans and she saves them from a mysterious black flying thing, then she befriends and learns about all manner of birds. Finally, in the last story, she goes to residential school and there she saves a priest who breaks through the ice while skating. A pronunciation guide for the Inuktitut words contained in the text is at the end of the book.
